Debbie Marton, Psy.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York.  She received her Doctorate in Psychology from Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in New York City.  She completed her clinical residency at the Department of Clinical Services at the Center for Applied Psychology in Monsey, New York where she specialized in women’s mental health and trauma. 

Dr. Marton has worked in various mental health settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, college counseling centers, domestic violence counseling centers, and eating disorder treatment centers.  She has received extensive training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy for the treatment of emotion regulation and interpersonal difficulties.  Dr. Marton specializes in treating Eating Disorders, Anxiety, DepressionWomen’s Issues and Emerging Adulthood.

Dr. Marton approaches each client as an individual and seeks to understand them fully. She draws mainly from insight oriented approaches that also value collaborative problem solving in the here and now.  Dr. Marton is a firm believer in following the client’s lead in their healing and growth rather than imposing labels, preconceived assumptions or outside values onto their situations.

Dr. Marton is a member of the American Psychological Association as well as the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals.
